Wild Palms
Wild Palms is a five-hour miniseries created by Greengrass Productions and shown for the first time on the ABC network in May 1993. The "event series" sci-fi drama explores the perils of politically motivated abuse of mass media technologies, namely virtual worlds. It was based on a Bruce Wagner-written and Julian Allen-illustrated comic strip initially published in 1990 in Details magazine. Oliver Stone and Wagner, who also wrote the screenplay, acted as executive producers. James Belushi, Dana Delany, Robert Loggia, Kim Cattrall, and Angie Dickinson feature in the series. Kathryn Bigelow, Keith Gordon, Peter Hewitt, and Phil Joanou directed the episodes.
