Rocko's Modern Life
Rocko's Modern Life is an American animated series created by Joe Murray. The show aired for four seasons between 1993 and 1996. Rocko's Modern Life is based across an Australian-immigrant wallaby called Rocko, and his life from town of O-Town's inexplicable experiences. The show investigates his American life in addition to the lives of the friends: the gluttonous steer Heffer, the neurotic Filburt, and Rocko's faithful dog. The show is filled with mature comedy, including dual entendres, innuendos, and social commentary.
The name character was initially established by joe Murray to get an unpublished comic book show from the 1980s, and after reluctantly reverted the show to Nickelodeon, who looked for edgier cartoonists for his Nicktoons block. The network gave the team a large amount of freedom, the writers targeting both adults and children. Twisted architecture is stylistically featured by the animation of the show. Additionally, Murray chose newcomer voice actors, such as Carlos Alazraqui and Tom Kenny, who have gone onto become very popular. The show was the fourth Nicktoon to premiere. Kenny clarified the series's impact in a meeting, saying,"Rocko's Modern Life was just one of those shows which were the very first burst for plenty of people who moved onto do other stuff at the company."
