Punishment
Punishment is an Australian television soap opera made by the Reg Grundy Organisation for the Ten Network in 1981.
Set at a fictional men's prison, so the series attempted to present a male version of the thriving soap Prisoner. Attempts by the manufacturers to differentiate the series in Prisoner of the show watched Punishment. Nevertheless, good figures were not attracted by the formula. Network Ten deemed and it had been quickly removed from the programs. The remainder of these 26 episodes were displayed. For a soap opera, the series had been recorded using precisely the same camera technique.
The cast featured prominent actors such as George Spartels, Barry Crocker, Michael Preston, Ross Thompson, Anne Haddy, Brian Wenzel, Cornelia Frances, Lisa Peers and Julie McGregor. Mel Gibson played with a prisoner. Kris McQuade played Gibson's character's girl friend and was phased out of this series after the 1st few episodes due to Gibson's death. Alan Coleman produced and directed the programme.
