I am Sam is a South Korean television series that premiered in 2007. It stars Yang Dong-geun, Park Min-young, Park Joon-gyu, Son Tae-young, and T.O.P in his acting debut. It aired on KBS2 on Mondays and Tuesdays at 21:55 for 16 episodes from August 6 to October2, 2007. Yang plays a geeky, straight-arrowed, under-qualified high school teacher who, in exchange for one million won, becomes a live-in tutor for the troublesome daughter of a notorious gangster. The drama had a 6.5 percent average rating. I am Your Teacher is a word play on sam, which roughly translates to "teacher" in slang in Korean.
