Beauty and the Beast

Detective Catherine Chandler is a smart, no-nonsense homicide detective. She observed the murder of her mother as a result of two gunmen, when she had been a teenager and some one -- or something saved herself. Years have passed and while investigating a murder, Catherine finds a clue which leads her into Vincent Keller, who had been reportedly murdered in 2002. Catherine learns that it had been he who saved her many years before and that Vincent is still alive. For mysterious reasons which have forced him to live out conventional society, Vincent was in hiding to safeguard his secret -- he becomes a monster, powerless to control enhanced sensations and his super strength he is contested.
