The Rum Diary

Due to the devastating conventions of late Eisenhower-era America and madness of nyc and this noise, itinerant journalist Paul Kemp journeys into Puerto Rico's island to compose a regional San Juan paper run by the downtrodden editor Lotterman. Adopting the rum-soaked lifestyle of this late'version of Hemingway's'The Lost Generation','' Paul soon becomes entangled with an extremely attractive woman and her fiancée a businessman engaged with property growth prices that are dishonest. It is that Kemp finds his real voice as a writer and ethics for a man.
