The Man in the Buick
The residents of the sleepy little village of Honfleur adore Mr. Jo, who is affectionately known as "the man with the Buick." But in reality, he is a shady trafficker with a poor track record who is trying to put his criminal past behind him by limiting himself to the illegal trade of rubies while operating under the guise of a charitable organization that provides vacations in Switzerland for children from disadvantaged backgrounds. On the other hand, Mr. Jo has fallen in love with a lovely widow, and in order to win her hand in marriage, he is willing to get engaged in another holdup. And "the man with the Buick," who appeared to be so honorable, will astonish the people of Honfleur when Inspector Menard uncovers the covert activities he's been engaging in all this time.
