The Geographer Drank His Globe Away

Victor Sluzhkin signs on as a teacher of geography at a second school in his native Perm (at the Urals) and has lost in a haze of hard vodka, desperate love to get a nymphet-like student and the stress of instructing adolescents. Geographer, because the students dub Sluzhkin, tries to flee from the dull, stultifying reality of Russia's provincial existence at a tour. Inspired by wild, adventure-seeking adolescents, faced with the numerous surprises of this nature, Geographer is poised to find their own truth.
