The Forgiving
Five years after the sad murder of his eight-year-old daughter, Avi Brickman is still reeling from the loss of his wife and two other children. Upon being dismissed from his work, which had served as a tenuous lifeline to his broken existence, he makes the decision to commit suicide in the very house where the disaster had taken place. Upon arriving at the lonely house in the woods, he discovers a mother and her little daughter who have taken refuge in the building. As he struggles to come to terms with his guilt and pain over the course of one long night, he is visited by the ghosts of his past, leading to a cathartic and surprising conclusion.
