The Enchanting Phantom

A timeless love story about a scholar who falls in love with a female ghost and attempts to liberate her from her demon-possessed state of endless servitude. Ning Cai Chen, a scholar, travels to the capital to sit for the state examinations. He spends the night at Lan Ruo temple, where he meets and falls in love with Nie Xiao Qian, a ghost who seduces men into offering their life essence to Lao Lao. Ning Cai Chen and Nie Xiao Qian marry after much effort, but Lao Lao intends to marry Nie Xiao Qian over to the Heishan Demon. Ning Cai Chen seeks the assistance of demon hunter Yan Chi Xia in his despair.
