Man attempts to regain a horse stolen from him by way of a Mexican bandit. The Appaloosa (also Called Southwest to Sonora) is a 1966 American Western film Technicolor (set from the 1870s) in Universal Pictures starring Marlon Brando, Anjanette Comer and John Saxon, that was nominated for a Golden Globe for Best Supporting Actor for his portrayal of a Mexican bandit. The film has been directed by Sidney J. Furie, shot in Mexico. The 2008 Appaloosa film (starring Ed Harris and Viggo Mortensen) is perhaps not related nor a movie of this film, even though it has almost the exact identical name.
