Rule Number One

Following a gunfight in which he sustained injuries, Rookie Sergeant Lee was transferred to the mysterious-sounding Miscellaneous Affairs Department (MAD). There, he is assigned to work with Inspector Wong, a cynical and drunken veteran who explains that MAD's job is to respond to calls involving the supernatural. Wong breaks out the first rule of MAD, which is that there are no ghosts. There is a scientific and rational explanation for every phenomenon that appears to defy explanation, despite appearances to the contrary.
