Painted Woman
Adapted from the novel "Mustanger and the Lady" by acclaimed western novelist Dusty Richards, "Painted Woman" recounts the narrative of Julie Richards. Julie is a woman of her generation, transferred from hand to hand in a web of cruelty and prostitution that ultimately lands her at Kyle Allison's feet. Allison, a wealthy businessman in Goldfield's old west, welcomed little Julie into his home and transformed her into his trophy. This life came with the benefit of being looked after, but at the expense of additional abuse. Julie is given two opportunities to escape with two very different men as her time with Allison draws to a perilous conclusion... PAINTED WOMAN is divided into two unique chapters of Julie's life, each of which mirrors the previous one. Julie meets Frank in the first chapter. It is primarily told at night in the Goldfield town square. The Mustanger is the focus of Chapter Two. It is set in the outdoors and is primarily narrated during the daytime.
