Nothing Like the Sun

In the mid-twentieth century, Alice Mitchell functions as a prostitute on the street. After her circumstance gets worse, she unsuccessfully tries to integrate with her estranged family over her homosexuality. She nestles at a Christian family and also wins them over by incorrectly adopting their belief, in spite of opposition from their in-law, Lillian. While there, Alice's infatuation with the household's little girl, Annabel, grows.
