Magic Beyond Words: The JK Rowling Story
The J.K. Rowling Story is an Australian made-for-TV film starring Poppy Montgomery. J. K. Rowling's journey from struggling single mother to published novelist is chronicled in the film, which was shot in British Columbia, Canada, yet looks like it was made in England. But it also revealed some details about her personal past, including her first abusive marriage and her mother's death, which were shown on Lifetime on July 18th. And the films based on her books are the biggest grossing films ever. Poppy Montgomery apparently wore blue contact lenses to portray the prominent writer.
