Love Cuts

Cecilia, known as Sissy, is a lively seamstress in her 40s. Her longtime husband, Wai Mun, runs a famous Chinese restaurant. He and Sissy have a happy marriage despite his dissatisfaction with life since moving to Singapore from Hong Kong. They have a 15-year-old son and a nine-year-old daughter who has a very close relationship with Sissy and is a source of great cheer and comfort to her. An unexpected event disrupts their mundane life. Sissy discovers a firm lump in her left breast. Complex emotions overwhelm her.
