Last Kind Words

17-year old Eli moves to the farm of reclusive Waylon, a person whose dark past threatens to overtake him along with his family. Eli's family works to reestablish the fields, while he becomes fascinated with the woods. While to the plantation, Eli meets the mysterious Amanda when she gives him an apple. The overnight she extracts a promise from him in order to prevent the forests. Reeling out of a violent encounter one night, with his dad this promise is broken by him and finds her body dangling from a tree.
