Funny Boy

An adjustment of Shyam Selvadurai's 1994 novel Funny Kid, exploring the awakening of sexual identification by a young kid called Arjie. As political tensions intensify to a boiling point in between the minority Tamils as well as the bulk Sinhalese, a young kid comes of age in a society and also family that doesn't welcome distinction beyond social norms. The film chronicles Arjie's battle to discover balance and self-love despite the lack of empathy as well as understanding.
