Decision Before Dawn
WWII has reached its conclusion: Germany is in ruins but refuses to surrender. The US army is in desperate need of information on German units operating on the other side of the Rhine, and decides to transfer two German prisoners to gather information. The scheme is dangerous: the Gestapo still maintains an incredibly effective network for identifying and apprehending spies and deserters. Additionally, it is unclear whether "Tiger," who is unconcerned about filthy work as long as the pay is right, and war-weary "Happy," who may be easily betrayed by his emotions, are trustworthy agents. Happy is parachuted into Bavaria after Tiger and another American agent are successfully infiltrated. His mission: ascertain the location of a formidable German armored force advancing towards the western front.
