A Special Day

The film is set during the late 1930s: the occasion may be the first meeting between Hitler and Mussolini. Left alone in her tenement home when her fascist husband runs away to attend the situation, Antonietta strikes up a friendship with her gay neighbor Gabriele. As the afternoon segues into night, Gabriele and Antonietta develop a special relationship which will radically alter both of these outlooks on life.
