The whole village of Kingston Bagpuize in Oxfordshire was included in the building of the film. Young mums contributed to design and the sales and publicity. Folk provided stewards and the drivers and props and logistics service. Even the Women's Institute ordered a catering attempt and also all the crew and cast were lodged in village homes for the duration of the fire.
