Strapped
During the reign of the eighth shogun of the Tokugawa shogunate, the Yunagaya Domain in the Tohoku region can be actually just a small han. But at the han, there is a gold mine. Suddenly, Masaatsu Naito of all Yunagaya Domain receives an arrangement. Sankin-kotai is just a custom which requires that the daimyo to visit with the shogun in Edo. Alas, the time required to stop by the shogun in Edo is eight days. Masaatsu Naito accomplishes that he received the arrangement because a high ranking government official wants the mine. Additionally, the cost for Sankin-kotai is high and the Yunagaya Domain is a small han that it seems impossible to finish. But Masaatsu Naito begins an performance.
