Gripped: Climbing the Killer Pillar
Gripped is a feature-length rock-climbing survival epic set on the side of a 1,000-foot cliff in California's Sierra Nevada mountains. Gripped follows Rose, a gym climber from Los Angeles, as she embarks on her first outdoor climb. Rose meets Bret, an accomplished outdoorsman, while climbing with her buddy Jade. She convinces him - against his better judgment - to accompany her on a famous, advanced rock-climbing route known as "Killer Pillar." Bret falls and sustains a catastrophic head injury and torn shoulder. With no other option but to ascend, Rose must lead the ascent to the summit. They still have a long way to go when darkness comes and are forced to bivouac on a cliffside ledge. Bret wanders in and out of consciousness the following day, as a storm approaches. Rose is the only one who can save them both.
