Aki and Naoko are childhood friends that are currently drifting apart as adults. Immersed in her family life, Naoko now features a spouse and kid. Aki, however, remains single and can be about to leave from work due to a personal crisis. The storyline might seem familiar but it has not been told like that. The director Kusano Natsuka stages the interactions through an actors' table-read and, the scenes develop to on-location conversations as the lines are repeated. She repositions the story's summit to the beginning: Aki has killed the daughter of Naoko.
