A Barefoot Dream
When retired professional soccer player Kim Won-kang visits East Timor, he discovers kids playing the game barefoot on rocky fields. This is after a string of pipe dream endeavors fail. After learning that there isn't a single sports goods outlet in the entire nation, he recognizes a fresh business opportunity and starts a scheme to get rich quick by selling athletic shoes to the children who aren't wearing shoes. Unfortunately, not a single person in the area can afford to pay $60 for a pair of shoes, even with a reasonable payment plan. Before he realizes it, he is left in charge of a crew of scruffy 10-year-olds, and things are not looking good. International Palm Springs Film Festival wrote the article
