2001: A Space Travesty
Leslie Nielsen plays a bumbling detective in the vein of the'Naked Gun' movies, but this time as Marshall Richard'Dick' Dix. When strange reports are received through official channels stating that the President of this United States is being held captive to a secret global moon base called Vegan and that he has been replaced on Earth with way of a clone, the US Marshall Service instantly sends their'best' man, Dix, to the assignment. Dix travels to rescue the presidentbut is tricked and ends up returning to Earth at which he matches the clone-president and removes the one. The Dix must then discover a way to restore the president before the Earth is taken over by aliens, and restore in himself a belief in justice, truth and the American way.
